To our Sponsors,

Let me start by saying THANK YOU for your interest in sponsoring our Youth in Emergency Preparedness Camp. The camp is for Rio Grande Valley teenagers between the ages of 14-18.

Teenagers are often overlooked in being active members of family and community preparedness activities. They can and should take an active role. This camp will offer age-appropriate materials and training that prepare our youth for small and large scale disasters. Many community preparedness programs do not offer this. The teenagers will have the opportunity to receive an education filled with practical applications of the concepts they’ve learned in school. Some of these teenagers have already made an impact on community in the Rio Grande Valley by volunteering hours towards our Vial of Life program and the Home Fire Preparedness Campaign.

Our goal is to have 100 teenagers and 25 volunteers participate for FREE in this week long camp but we need the support of our vendors and businesses to make it a reality. We are looking for sponsors for this event. All donations are welcome. Your donation will be used for our Youth in Emergency Preparedness Camp and other youth preparedness programs.

Please take a look at the many donation levels that we offer on our  downloadable sponsorship level form below this message.

All checks must be made out to the Weslaco Fire Department. We have a special donation account for this event. Donations will remain in the special account and will be used solely for our RGV MRC volunteer programs. Please leave your email address on the memo box of your check to receive a receipt. Thank you.

Respectfully,
